An Artisanal Olfactive House
From the ancient coastline of Odisha to the world.
Centuries before modern perfumery defined luxury, the maritime empire of Kalinga sailed with the monsoon winds, carrying treasures of resin, sacred woods, and wild coastal blooms. Brittor Fabara revives this forgotten olfactory trade route — anchoring every composition in authentic, wild-harvested Ganjam Kewda.

Geographical Provenance
Rooted strictly in Odisha's living history — the river fort of Barabati, the solar stone of Konark, and the sacred sanctuary of Puri.
The Signature Hero Note
Dosed with pure, hydro-distilled Ruh Kewda (Pandanus fascicularis), harvested exclusively from the 45-km coastal corridor of Ganjam.
Small-Batch Formulation
Made at rich, long-lasting parfum strength. Hand-blended in small batches and patiently rested, never rushed.
Collection Kalinga
Variant I — Barabati Fort
FRESH · WARM · REFINED
Crisp sea-salt breeze carrying spices across the Mahanadi, settling into ancient laterite stone and pure Ganjam Kewda.
Built along the junction where the Mahanadi and Kathajodi rivers embrace, Barabati Fort stood as the maritime nerve center of Eastern India. From its river wharves, merchants set sail for Ceylon, Java, and Bali.
Arrival captures that electric moment a trade galleon returned home: the crisp freshness of ocean spray, the warmth of spice sacks freshly unloaded on the wharf, and the unmistakable honeyed green scent of flowering Kewda drifting across the riverbanks.
Variant II — Konark Sun Temple
WARM · GLOWING · FLORAL
The warmth of morning sun striking ancient stone chariot wheels. A radiant, sun-warmed opening that settles into deep golden warmth and a whisper of temple incense.
Conceived in the 13th century as an immense stone chariot carrying Surya across the heavens, Konark is an architectural masterpiece carved from monumental stone.
Sacred translates this solar devotion into liquid form. It opens with a radiant, sun-warmed glow, evolving as the skin warms into the honeyed nectar of Kewda and a soft, incense-like warmth that clings to ancient temple walls.
Variant III — Puri Kshetra
COOL · GREEN · CALMING
First monsoon rain on warm sand, fresh green leaves, and a soft, creamy calm carried on the salt wind of the Bay of Bengal.
Puri is where sacred ritual meets the expanse of the open sea. For centuries, pilgrims have walked this coastal ground, enveloped in the fragrance of temple garlands, sacred offerings, and the swell of the Bay of Bengal.
Journey captures the aroma of rain hitting dry earth (mitti), harmonized with the uplifting freshness of the coast and a grounding, soothing calm.
The Hero Botanical
Along an exclusive 45-kilometre coastal ribbon in southern Odisha, nestled between the Rushikulya and Bahuda rivers, thrives an ancient botanical anomaly: the male blossom of Pandanus fascicularis.
Here, family-run distilleries carry out a dawn ritual unchanged for generations. Harvesters navigate coastal thickets at first light to cut mature flower spikes when the aromatic oil concentration is at its peak. Sealed immediately into hand-crafted copper vessels (degs) with local clay, it takes over 350 pounds of fresh blossoms to yield a single ounce of pure Ruh Kewda.
Recognized with an official Geographical Indication (GI) Tag, this golden, honeyed green floral cannot be replicated anywhere else on earth. It forms the heartbeat of every Brittor Fabara creation.
Male flower spikes hand-cut at first light, when fragrance is most concentrated.
Flowers sealed in copper vessels with hand-rolled clay rims — unchanged for generations.
Heated over wood fire 4–8 hours; steam carried through bamboo pipe to a receiving vessel.
Pure rooh rises above the kewda water overnight, skimmed off entirely by hand.
The Emblem of Kalinga
At the center of our seal rests the Olive Ridley sea turtle — not a generic badge of luxury, but a living emblem of ancient maritime memory.
Every winter, hundreds of thousands of Olive Ridleys travel thousands of oceanic miles across the Indian Ocean to return unerringly to the exact beaches of Gahirmatha and Rushikulya where they were born. Long before nautical charts existed, the ancient Odia merchants (sadhabas) studied these oceanic currents from the ports of Barabati and Puri to sail their great vessels (boitas) across Southeast Asia for Bali Jatra.
The turtle represents the core ethos of Brittor Fabara.
